As a teenager, one of her biggest struggles was battling with her weight and personal daily stress. She discovered yoga and loved the peace it brought her. She found yoga not only help her lose weight, but because it became such a personal practice, it helped her find the power she had within herself. Yoga became her way of life. As she grew into her 20's she knew that this was something she wanted to share, not just with her adult peers, but with young children. She want to empower others and teach them to find their true self.
She believe yoga should be introduced at an early age. Physcally, it enhances children's flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. It teaches them to respect and love not only themselves, but also their friends and family. It improves their concentration and gives them the tools to relax and take time to focus. Yoga allows children to enter young adulthood with increased confidence and the ability to handle stress.
